From One Sleepless Night to Better, More Natural Sleep
When my daughter Carmen was born, I quickly learned what every new parent learns: nothing matters more than sleep. I was surprised to discover that most baby sleeping bags were filled with polyester. I wanted something different — natural, breathable materials that would keep her comfortable throughout the night.
The answer was surprisingly close to home. As Swiss skiers, we already knew what wool could do in changing conditions: keep you warm when it's cold, release heat when it's warm and absorb moisture without feeling wet.
That idea became our first baby sleeping bags, made with Swisswool and organic cotton.
Why we choose wool and natural materials
Wool is a remarkable natural fibre. It is breathable, absorbs and releases moisture and naturally helps regulate temperature. These qualities make it particularly well suited to sleep, when our body temperature changes throughout the night.
Our Swisswool filling combines 88% virgin Swiss wool with 12% plant-based fibres, creating a lightweight and washable filling that retains the natural benefits of wool. We pair it with soft organic cotton to create a comfortable sleeping environment without unnecessary synthetic materials.
It's a simple philosophy that still guides us today: work with the body's natural temperature regulation rather than against it.
From baby sleeping bags to natural bedding for the whole family
Our story didn't stop with babies. Parents who loved our sleeping bags began asking for the same natural comfort for themselves.
So we brought the same philosophy to our wool and down duvets, including breathable Swisswool duvets and goose down duvets filled with responsibly sourced European down — both made in Switzerland. And if you tend to feel too warm or sweat at night, wool's ability to manage heat and moisture makes it the better choice by a clear margin.
We developed wool and down pillows to match, and completed the sleep environment with organic cotton bed linen.
Our bed linen is made from certified organic cotton and comes in two distinctive weaves: crisp, breathable organic cotton percale and smooth, soft organic cotton satin.
Today, what began with one baby sleeping bag has grown into a collection of natural sleep products for babies, children and adults — right down to organic cotton pyjamas and cuddly comforters for the smallest sleepers.

That's why we focus on natural and breathable materials, thoughtful design and responsible Swiss and European production. Our Swisswool products use wool sourced in Switzerland, our down is Downpass-certified for traceable, responsible sourcing, both in combination with organic cotton .
We design our products in Switzerland and manufacture them in Switzerland and Europe with experienced producers who share our focus on quality and durability.
