Our Mission

Our Mission & Values

At Zizzz, everything starts from one simple belief: better sleep means a better life. That conviction shapes every choice we make — from the wool we source to the way we sell our products. Below, we explain what drives us: our mission, our honesty, our approach to sustainability, our quality standards, and our Swiss roots.

Our Mission: Better Sleep for a Better Life

Sleep is one of the three pillars of a healthy life, alongside good food and regular exercise — yet it's the one most often overlooked. Our mission is to change that: we design products that support deep, restorative sleep, so that both babies and parents can wake up feeling genuinely rested.

We believe that better sleep shouldn't come at the planet's expense. That's the second half of our mission, and it runs through everything below: from the materials we choose to where and how we make our products.

Honest & Transparent: Full Traceability

Zizzz products have a QR code that allows them to trace the origins of our natural and organic products

You'll spend six to eight hours a night in our products — your baby, often more. We think you deserve to know exactly what that product is made of, and where it came from. So we trace every step of our supply chain, from the sheep that produce our wool to the packaging your order arrives in.

Many of our products carry a QR code that lets you follow the origin of the Swisswool and cotton used, right down to the factory that made it. We have nothing to hide, and we're proud of it: our partners are all Swiss or European, most are family-owned businesses, and we visit them regularly. Over the years, they've become part of the Zizzz family.

Sustainable: Organic, Local & Ethical

Our supply chain doesn't start in a petroleum refinery — it starts with sheep grazing in the Swiss Alps. We build our products from wool, traceable down, and organic cotton instead of polyester, an oil- and plastic-based material. It's a deliberate choice: we want to leave our children a world worth sleeping well in.

We also manufacture as locally as possible, which cuts both cost and carbon. It's easy to underestimate how much transport pollutes: the 16 largest ships in the world produce as much pollution as every car on the planet combined. Producing closer to home is one of the simplest ways we reduce our footprint.

Sustainability isn't only environmental for us — it's social too. Our logistics partner in Switzerland is the Buergerspital in Basel, which helps people with disabilities re-enter the workforce. They handle our logistics beautifully, and they do it while carrying out a genuine social mission, at no extra cost to you.

Premium Quality at a Fair Price

Zizzz Lucky star products, for which a fair price is asked

We use only organic, natural fabrics of real quality, manufactured in Switzerland and Europe — the same standard we'd want for our own children. Naturally, that has a cost. What we refused to accept was passing on the extra cost of traditional retail on top of it: distributor margins, trade fairs, middlemen.

So we sell directly to you, online. Cutting out intermediaries means we can offer a locally-made, organic, sustainable product at the price of an average premium brand — one that usually can't make the same claims. It also means we handle your orders and questions ourselves, with no one in between. And in the long run, it's the better deal: cheap products wear out fast, need replacing, and carry hidden environmental costs that catch up with everyone eventually.

Proudly Swiss: Innovation Meets Reliability

We live here, and it shows. Switzerland has built its reputation on quality, reliability, and durability — partly out of necessity, since the country has almost no mineral resources of its own. That scarcity pushed Swiss industry toward innovation instead, and we're proud to carry that tradition into how we design and manufacture.

Switzerland is also where our story really began: the idea of using wool in our baby sleeping bags came to us while skiing in the Alps. Swisswool, the material at the heart of our products, exists nowhere else in the world. That's also why our logo carries the same colors as the Swiss flag.
