der komische offene verschluss im duvetanzug eher mühsam. weder beim anziehen noch betten ist der offene schlitz praktisch.
reisverschluss oder knöpfe hätten sehr viel mehr gedient.
auch beim aufhängen des nassen duvetanzug. kommt einem der schlitz nur in die quere und wird mühsam naht auf naht zu nehmen.
wie gesagt das material ist sehr angenehm und kuschlig. -

Satin bed linen is bed linen woven in a satin weave: smooth and soft to the touch, with a subtle sheen. At Zizzz, all three pieces come in this fabric – duvet covers, pillowcases and fitted sheets – made of certified organic cotton, undyed in ecru and sewn in Portugal.
What is cotton satin?
Satin is a weave; cotton satin is cotton fabric woven that way. So satin is not automatically silk, nor a synthetic fibre. In a satin weave, one thread passes over several crosswise threads before it dips under again. This puts a great many threads side by side on the surface – which is what makes the fabric smooth and gives it a slight sheen. The reverse side stays more matte.
Satin can be woven from silk, from synthetic fibres such as polyester, or from cotton. Our satin is made of organic cotton, with 276 TC and 120 g/m². TC (thread count) is the number of warp and weft threads per square inch (6.45 cm²) of fabric. A higher thread count does not automatically mean higher quality: the weave, yarn quality, fibre and fabric weight affect the feel just as much.

Satin, Mako satin, sateen: the terms
Mako satin is not a separate weave. It is also woven in a satin weave; "Mako" refers to the quality of cotton used. Zizzz calls its fabric organic cotton satin, not Mako satin.
Sateen is the usual English word for satin-woven cotton. High-gloss satin is satin with a particularly pronounced sheen; our undyed cotton satin has a subtle sheen.
Ecru: undyed cotton
Our satin is not dyed. Ecru is the natural colour of cotton, a warm, slightly creamy natural tone. Because the ecru tone does not come from added dye, there is no colour that can wash out or fade. As with all natural fibres, the natural tone may change slightly over time with use, washing or light.
The Lucky Star design – stars printed on the same undyed cotton satin – is a more playful alternative to plain ecru, and is also available in children's sizes.
Do you sweat in satin bed linen?
At Zizzz, satin is made of cotton, a fibre that can absorb moisture. Polyester, by contrast, takes up much less moisture into the fibre. How warm bed linen feels also depends on the weave, the fabric weight and your own sense of warmth.
Our satin feels smoother and more enveloping than percale. If you sweat a lot at night or prefer the crispest, driest feel possible, you will therefore often find percale more comfortable. For warm nights, also read our simple tips to survive tropical nights.

Care: washing, drying, ironing
Wash satin at up to 60 °C. Before washing, close the zip of the duvet covers and the buttons of the pillowcases. Satin is comparatively easy to iron: hang the linen up after a good shake or put it straight back on the bed from the dryer, and it often needs little or no ironing.
Made in Portugal
Our satin bed linen is made in Portugal. We work there with a production partner we know personally and visit. Manufacturing in Portugal keeps the transport routes between production and our main markets relatively short.
Frequently asked questions about satin bed linen
Is satin bed linen made of silk?
No. Satin is a weave, not a fibre. Zizzz satin bed linen is made of organic cotton, not silk. The satin weave is what gives the smooth surface with a subtle sheen.
What is the difference between satin and Mako satin?
Mako satin is not a separate weave. It is also woven in a satin weave; "Mako" refers to the quality of cotton used. Zizzz calls its fabric organic cotton satin, not Mako satin.
Satin or percale – which suits me?
Satin is smooth, soft and slightly lustrous, and drapes more closely. Percale feels crisp, matte and airy, and suits anyone who likes to sleep on the cool side. Both are made of certified organic cotton at Zizzz; percale is also GOTS-certified.
