Which 60 × 60 cm pillow suits me?
Both pillows in this size have a natural filling and a cover in certified organic cotton. The difference lies in how they feel and in whether the height can be adjusted.

What is the square 60 × 60 cm format good for?
60 × 60 cm is the smaller of the two square pillow formats at Zizzz: as wide as it is long, and more compact than 65 × 65 cm. If you are used to a square pillow, or already own bed linen in this size, this is the one.
Whether a square or a rectangular pillow suits you better depends mostly on your sleeping habits, the space available in the bed and the bed linen you already have.
If you prefer a more compact rectangular format, there is 50 × 70 cm; if you want more surface and still square, 65 × 65 cm. We have set rectangular and square side by side here.
For side sleepers, pillow height and support matter most; the surface is more a question of personal preference. The Swisswool pillow is the flexible one here, because its height changes as you remove or add wool balls. What are the 60 × 60 cm pillows made of?
Swisswool consists of 88 % Swiss virgin wool and 12 % plant fibres. The wool balls in the inner pillow can be removed or topped up, so you can set the height of the pillow yourself. More about Swisswool.
The duck down pillow contains 85 % feathers for structure and support and 15 % down for softness and plumpness. The filling is DOWNPASS certified. More about down pillows.
How do I wash a 60 × 60 cm pillow?
Wool pillow: take out the inner pillow and wash the outer shell, which is quilted with a layer of Swisswool, at 30 °C on the wool cycle. The inner pillow with the wool balls does not need to be washed in normal use; airing it regularly is usually enough. Drying without a tumble dryer is covered in our five-step guide.
Duck down pillow: machine washable at 60 °C. What matters is that the filling dries all the way through before you use the pillow again. If the care label allows a tumble dryer, a few clean dryer or tennis balls help to loosen the filling up again.
Which pillowcase do I need for a 60 × 60 cm pillow?
A pillowcase in the same format. A 60 × 60 cm cover does not fit a 65 × 65 cm pillow and the other way round, so check the size before you buy.

Can the height of a 60 × 60 cm pillow be adjusted?
On the Swisswool pillow, yes: the inner pillow holds loose wool balls that you can remove or top up. On the duck down pillow the height is fixed.
Square or rectangular — which suits me better?
That depends on your bed linen and on what you are used to. A square pillow offers the same surface on both axes; a rectangular one takes up less of the width of the bed. We have set both shapes side by side here.
Are the 60 × 60 cm pillows suitable for people allergic to dust mites?
The duck down pillow carries the NOMITE label. The densely woven cotton batiste forms a barrier against dust mites. The wool pillow carries no corresponding allergy certification. Wool does, however, regulate moisture and can thereby contribute to a microclimate that is less favourable to dust mites.
