A 160 × 210 cm duvet cover fits a duvet of exactly that size – the most common single duvet in Switzerland. At Zizzz it comes in fine percale and smooth satin, both in certified organic cotton – so you can put together a complete 160x210 bedding set with matching fitted sheets and pillowcases.
For a 160 × 210 cm duvet, choose a 160 × 210 cm duvet cover. The size refers to the duvet and the cover – not to the mattress.
Who is the 160 × 210 cm size for?
160 × 210 cm is the most widespread single duvet in Switzerland: a little wider and longer than 140 × 200 cm, it hangs down generously on both sides of a 90 or 100 cm bed. It suits adults and teenagers alike.
Many couples in Switzerland also sleep under two 160 × 210 cm duvets side by side on a 160 or 180 cm bed: each keeps their own duvet, and nobody steals the covers.

Still not sure? Take our short quiz: a few questions and you will know which fabric suits you. More about each fabric: our percale duvet covers and our satin duvet covers.
Percale duvet cover 160 × 210 cm
Percale is a tight plain weave: each thread passes alternately over and under the crossing thread. At 220 threads per square inch it gives a fine, matt, breathable fabric that gets softer with every wash. All our 160 × 210 cm percale duvet covers close with a zip and the two-tone models are reversible: turn the cover over and the bed has a new look.
Satin duvet cover 160 × 210 cm
Satin is woven so that most of the threads lie on the surface: the fabric is smooth and soft, with a subtle sheen. At 276 threads per square inch it is denser than our percale and feels more enveloping. Our écru satin in 160 × 210 closes with a zip; the Lucky Star model closes with a flap.
Écru: our satin is undyed
Our écru satin is not dyed. Its warm, natural tone is the original colour of the cotton: no dye is added after weaving.
GOTS-certified organic cotton
Our percale duvet covers are made from GOTS-certified organic cotton. The Global Organic Textile Standard combines certified organic fibres with strict environmental and social criteria for textile processing, and checks the whole supply chain up to the finished product. Our satin is made from certified organic cotton.
Care: washing, drying, ironing
Percale and satin can both be washed at up to 60 °C. Close the zip or fold in the flap before washing. Ironing is usually unnecessary: shake the cover out well and hang it up, or put it straight back on the duvet when it comes out of the dryer.
Sewn in Portugal
Our duvet covers are sewn in Portugal, in percale and in satin, by a partner we know well and visit regularly.
